Wait - go back to that last one – did you say $100 BILLION?!?!

These and other statistics just appeared on the CBP website the other day - some fascinating stuff:

  • There were 768 million section 321 entries in 2020, and as of April 2021, there have already been 530 million such entries.
  • About 3000 importers requested extended deadlines for duty payment during the Covid-19 outbreak
  • CBP completed 231 audits in the first third of this year, when they only did twice that many in all of 2020.
  • Cargo holds for WRO’s have gone from 6 to 12 to 324 to 967 (2018 to 2021), and we’ve got another 4 months to go this year.
