Phapawin leads the Tradewin team in Thailand. He joined Tradewin with over 16 years of trade compliance experience managing complex customs and other Agency programs in Thailand. He has worked for major US and Japanese MNCs in the electronics and automotive industries as well as for the Thailand government. Phapawin has designed, implemented, and managed compliantly complicated Customs and BOI programs including BOI-manufacter, BOI trader, BIS-19, and Free Zone programs. He has also led Thailand AEO initiatives. Throughout his career Phapawin has been responsible for understanding, communicating and planning around import/export regulations, policies, and procedures. He has implemented trade compliance controls to identify risk and has successfully negotiated reductions in damages for non-compliance. Phapawin has expert knowledge of a wide range of global and Thailand trade compliance topics including: HS code classification; import permits and licenses for controlled products; Free Trade Agreement, Special programs, and local programs (e.g. BOI, Customs FreeZone, Bonded Warehouse, Bis 19) He has also been responsible for enhancing import/export efficiency through NSW data linkage system with ERP and other systems. Phapawin interacts with Customs and other responsible Agencies on a near daily basis. He enjoys excellent lines of communication throughout Thai Customs and many other Agencies.
