Before joining Tradewin, Andy worked in the commodities sector, focusing on fundamental market research across energy and natural gas, agricultural, and financial markets. Additionally, Andy brings research experience in international trade policy and political economy, having worked on issues related to regional trade agreements and the implications of trade tariffs and sanctions. Andy holds an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Commerce from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in History from the University of South Carolina Aiken.

The EU and Mercosur (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay) agreed recently on a draft-free trade agreement that, if implemented, will create the largest free trade area in the world, connecting over 770 million people. The free trade agreement has been agreed in principle and will now move to legal revision. This will lead to a final text of the agreement being sent to the member states of both blocs for approval.
